Fascinating film about struggle of darkness and light in the beginning of 20 centuries, last period of great magic. A story about two sisters. One of them becomes a judge despite that since childhood she has never differed with great intellect. The other one unfolds doctoral thesis in psychiatry though she's kleptomaniac herself. The first one sees some nightmares all the time, she sees some old black woman in the street – she identifies herself with her. The spectator must understand that not everything was so good in their childhood, they have always been opponents in everything, but all this stuff lays so hard on your shoulders that you get an unpleasant after-taste, no matter what kind of idea the authors wanted to express. 116 min.
