The movie action happens in America at the time of the Great Depression. A hobo Frank Chambers found a temporary shelter and a job in a wayside snackbar. He quickly accustomed himself, pleased the host and above all – the hostess with whom he got into affair. Frank is much younger than her husband. Some time passed and the lovers decide to finish with the husband who became unwanted. Director Bob Rayfelson shot a real strong, tough and naturalistic film. 120 min.
