This is a sincere film about Chinese teenager. His family is his mother, sister and grandpa. His mother has a motel where they all live. The film starts with episode when his mother comes to a bulky client with bat in her hands trying to "explain" to the customer that its time to pay and to get out of motel. A young Korean man appears in hotel and tries to support and to bring up a young chinese boy.
It starts with the tragedy which occurs during a weekend gathering people of upper-class life at a country estate. Film shows how those with money and influence are allowed to create their own morality. Its an excellent glance on upper-class life in Edwardian England starring by the superlative cast James Mason, Edward Fox, Dorothy Tutin, and John Gielgud. 98 min.
