Ally is all alone after she broke up with her old boyfriend Billy Allan Thomas (Gil Bellows). Since 7 years old Ally and Billy have been in love with each other. Their relationships grew together with them from childish friendship to a grown-up love. Together they were getting ready to enter college of law, Ally entered it and Billy couldn't. The set of circumstances leads Ally to work in a prestigious Boston firm at the head of her ex-group mate Richard Fisher (Greg Germann). In her first working-day she meets her old friend Billy – now he is married to a charming Georgia (Courtney Throne-Smith), whom ally would want to hate but she can't and so they become friends.
