A tourist boat makes a stop to land Malcolm Page on an ill-famed Snake Island. Malcolm is doing a research for a book he's planning to write about the crawling creatures that have become the terror of this remote part of the African jungle. His fellow-passengers strongly dislike the idea of this risky expedition. However, due to an unexpected boat failure they have to spend the night in a hut on the river bank. The island meets the visitors with sinister silence, and its inhabitants, the most poisonous and dangerous snakes known to science, are waiting for the night when they can surround their frightened pray and start the hunt.
