Almost half of the inhabitants of a small town in Georgia, lost in a swampy forest, are mentally unbalanced. If they have a flare of seasonal unrest they don't bother to consult a doctor – they go to see a fortune-teller. She will read her ancient cards with their dices, spades, crosses and circles and tell her verdict for a certain small fee. The fortune-teller is a single mother with three young kids, so her small business provides a good addition to her welfare allowance. Besides, she never pulls the wool over her customers' eyes – she does have a Gift inherited from her grandmother whom she still quite often sees in her visions. When she gets into the right state she can chat with her long dead granny and develop the Gift, as the grandmother continues to instruct her and reveal its new possibilities even during her visits from the other world. 111 min.

A police detective Wade Handler is investigating the case of Embry Langan, a student of a posh college, who mysteriously disappeared from the campus two years ago. In the course of his investigation, the detective gets acquainted with Embry Langan's charming girlfriend Catherine. To his surprise, the girl confesses that she has recently seen Embry on the campus. Wade makes up his mind to get to know her better as his instinct tells him that this is the only way to solve the riddle of the mysterious disappearance… 99 min.

A week short of high school graduation four senior students are caught out by Mrs Tingle, the cruel old History teacher, who discovers that the best student has a copy of the upcoming final test. When the teacher threatens to deny the four culprits admission for the exams, which would automatically mean no high school diplomas, they decide to take the most drastic measures. However, they could hardly imagine the consequences of their decision… In a word, the film is a well-staged black comedy made with a most serious face. 93 min.

So the girl has to address her very eccentric neighbours for help. Meanwhile, the Burnses are setting out on the journey from Pennsylvania to New York. 80 min.

The drug dealer Simon starts his day in a car boot, later he finds himself locked with two women in a burning hotel room and at night he takes part in a wild race along LA streets. The gruesome-twosome, Zack and Adam, help the police and get in everybody's way all day long, and in the end, they are granted a doubtful privilege of having dinner with a loony servant of law. However, all these different plot lines are united by the same unpredictable outcome… 103 min.
