The film opens with a quotation about the nature of women's sexual fantasy suppression and tells an extremely unpleasant story of two sisters. One of them is about to become a judge although she has never been really smart. The other, a kleptomaniac, is awarded a PhD in Psychiatry. The first sister suffers from persistent nightmares, in which she associates herself with an old dark-skinned woman, whom she meets in the street. The spectator is given to understand that there is some dark mystery connected with the sisters' childhood, hence their ongoing rivalry. Anyway, the authors of the film convey their idea, whatever it might be, in such a chaotic, dim and ghastly way that the general impression is exceptionally ill-flavoured. One can't show the "Connection" by simply loading the film with the lesbian love scenes. 114 min.
