Martin Short is a typical yuppie. His uncle dies and leaves him an old yacht, which once belonged to Clark Gable. Martin convinces his wife to ferry the yacht to Florida and sell it. They are going to do it on their own under the supervision of a hired captain (Kurt Russell). The whole family, including children, are looking forward to the trip. It turns out that their captain has a somewhat striking appearance – one of his eyes is hidden under a black patch, he has unusually long hair and looks absurd. At the same time he is good-natured and charming. He copes with all problems but "freaks everything out". The trip proved to be real fun: it was full of exciting adventures, dances, music, pirate attacks, chasing, beer and the whole range of comedy features. This light and funny comedy with its bright sun, blue sky, sea and brilliant actors' ensemble will leave nobody indifferent. 99 min.
