From the "Being John Malkovich" duo of director Spike Jonze and writer Charlie Kaufman comes this tricky, self-reflective romp boasting Nicolas Cage in two roles. He's the real-life Kaufman, struggling to adapt author Susan Orlean's (Meryl Streep) novel "The Orchid Thief," about a roguish Everglades flower lover (Best Supporting Actor Oscar-winner Chris Cooper), into a movie. And he's Donald, Charlie's (fictitious) twin brother, a neophyte filmwriter hoping to cash in with a formulaic action script. With Tilda Swinton, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Brian Cox as screenwriting guru Robert McKee. 114 min. Superbit; Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtracks: English Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Digital Surround, DTS stereo, French Dolby Digital 5.1; Subtitles: English, French; filmographies; theatrical trailers.
