A group of teens strive to choose the right direction in this world that suggests them so much. In 24 hours, Mike will choose the way to the army, following his father's example. His last day within the family and friends turns into a struggle of feelings. His girlfriend Valerie, who doesn't understand his desire to leave, his friends choose their own ways for better life. Phil, a second-rate drug runner, is working for the big aims that will bring him much good. Terry is trying to enter a common but hard world she's not ready for, but already realizes the decay the system demands. Steve wants to release himself from his tyrannical father, takes decision to murder him and tries to get weapons. As the story keeps going, destruction breaks into at night of slashing violence, self-annihilation and self-opening.
