Jack, an impulsive and mentally unbalanced single tramp goes to see his friend Sally, whom he once promised to marry. On his way, he picks up Bet, a good-looking young woman. Soon he picks up another passenger. It's a man called Bugs, who has escaped from a mental hospital. Bugs is looking foe a woman of his dreams, whose name happens to be Sally as well. Soon he falls in love with Bet. The news draws Jack mad because he also falls for her. The two men start fighting. When Bugs and Bet are trying to push the injured Jack into the car-boot they are arrested by the police... 80 min.
