Most people remember Bob Crane as the amiable star of TV's "Hogan's Heroes." This film from Paul Schrader examines the secret life of Crane (played by Greg Kinnear), who was bludgeoned to death in 1978 after he and his best friend, video technician John Carpenter (Willem Dafoe), immerse themselves in kinky pornographic encounters with women. Maria Bello, Rita Wilson and Ron Leibman also star in this fascinating study of Hollywood's dark underbelly. 106 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital 5.1, French Dolby Digital Surround; Subtitles: English, French; audio commentary by Schrader, Kinnear, Dafoe; deleted scenes; "making of" documentary; featurette; scene access.
