Despite the onscreen title, LINDA actually features German Playmate Ursula Buchfellner as the willowy (some would say anorexic) blonde Betsy, an employee of the Rio Amore, a luxury hotel in exotic Funchal. She makes the mistake of having an affair with the hotel manager, Ron (Antonio Mayans), and is discovered by fearsome CEO, Sheila (Raquel Evans), who is obsessed with Ron. This is daytime soap material from the word go and soon turns into a woman-in-peril variation on Franco's more familiar WIP entries of that era (cf SADOMANIA, also featuring Buchfellner). Sheila coerces a confession out of Betsy that she has been cooking the hotel's books and tells her that she can work off her debt in the hotel's club, actually the end-point of a secret white slavery operation. Women from all over the world work at the Rio Amore as high priced prostitutes servicing wealthy clients.
